WhatsApp Inbox
The WhatsApp Inbox is your team’s central hub for WhatsApp conversations. You can access it from the /chatbox page in the Wap2b dashboard.
Conversation List
The left panel displays all your WhatsApp conversations, sorted by the most recent message. Each entry shows the contact name or phone number, a preview of the last message, and a timestamp. Use the search bar at the top to find conversations by contact name or phone number.
Chat View
Select any conversation from the list to open it in the right panel. The full message history loads in the chat view, showing both inbound and outbound messages in chronological order.
Sending Messages
You can send text messages by typing in the input field at the bottom of the chat view. Media messages — including images, documents, and videos — can be sent using the attachment button.
Message Status Indicators
Each outbound message displays a status indicator so you know exactly where it stands:
- Sent — The message has been sent from Wap2b.
- Delivered — The message has been delivered to the recipient’s phone.
- Read — The recipient has opened and read the message.
- Failed — The message could not be delivered. Check the error details and retry if needed.
The 24-Hour Messaging Window
WhatsApp enforces a 24-hour messaging window. You can freely send messages to a customer within 24 hours of their last incoming message. Once that window expires, you must use an approved message template to re-initiate the conversation. Templates can be managed from the Templates section.
Multiple WhatsApp Numbers
If your account has more than one WhatsApp Business number connected, each number’s conversations appear in the same inbox. The phone number associated with each conversation is displayed so you can tell which number the customer contacted.
