Step 1 — Connect Your Instagram Account
Before your AI Sales Agent can work, you need to connect your Instagram Business account to Wap2b. This gives Wap2b permission to read and reply to DMs on your behalf through the official Meta API.
Open My Account
From the left sidebar, click My Account. This takes you to the Instagram Accounts page.
Click Connect Instagram
Click the Connect Instagram button. You will be redirected to Facebook to grant permissions.
Log in to Instagram
Log in with your Instagram Business or Creator account credentials.
Grant permissions
Instagram will ask for a series of permissions. Accept all of them. Wap2b requires these to read DMs, send replies, and access your profile. Declining any permission may prevent the agent from working correctly.
Select your Instagram account
After granting permissions, you will be redirected back to Wap2b. Select the Instagram account you want to connect and confirm.
Verify the connection
You should now see your Instagram account listed on the My Account page with a green status indicator. Your account is connected.
Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account. Personal accounts are not supported by the Meta API. To switch, go to your Instagram settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.
Troubleshooting
Redirected back without connecting? Make sure you are logged into the correct Instagram account with Business or Creator account type.
Permissions screen did not appear? Try clearing your browser cookies for instagram.com and try again.
Account shows as disconnected after a few days? Instagram access tokens expire. Go to My Account and reconnect. This is a Meta requirement — tokens must be refreshed periodically.
